Nurse coaching bridges healthcare and healing. It supports goals and practical steps while holding space for safety, transformation, and deeper reconnection.
At its core, coaching is a collaborative, client-led journey that taps into your inner wisdom, helping you uncover insights and drive change from within. Consulting is a more directive, expert-led process—drawing on clinical education and industry know-how to offer targeted guidance, resources, and concrete action plans.
Many sessions blend both approaches: we’ll start with coaching to clarify what truly matters to you, then shift into consulting to map out evidence-based tools and strategies that bring your goals to life.
Aspect | Coaching | Consulting |
Who Leads | Client—guided by coaches questions and deep listening. | Coach—drawing on clinical expertise to advise and resource. |
Goal | Client -taps into their inner wisdom, values, and motivation. | Solve a specific problem or implement best-practice solutions. |
Process | Powerful questions, reflective exercises, and self-discovery. | Assessment, recommendations, templates, and action plans. |
Focus | Personal growth, mindset shifts, and self-directed change. | Strategy, compliance, and efficient execution. |
Deliverables | Insights, clarity, accountability structures, next-step experiments. | Reports, frameworks, protocols, or skill-building materials. |
Timeframe | Often open-ended; progress through sessions at client’s own pace. | Project-based; clear start, milestones, and completion point. |
Ideal For | Exploring “why,” building resilience, and aligning purpose. | Needing clinical frameworks, system navigation, or technical how-to. |
When Coaching and Consulting Blend:
We uncover your true priorities (coaching) before I share evidence-based tools or clinical protocols (consulting).
After you gain clarity on your core motivations and needs, I equip you with specialized resources—like a nursing-informed self-care plan or a curated set of mind-body practices.
You’ll walk away with both the inner “fuel” to keep moving and the external “roadmap” to navigate complex health or life challenges.
Holistic nurse coaching is for anyone seeking support, clarity, or meaningful change—especially during life transitions, chronic stress, emotional overwhelm, burnout, grief, or a desire for deeper self-connection.
It’s particularly helpful for:
Healthcare and helping professionals (i.e. nurses, paramedics, social workers, teachers) experiencing burnout or compassion fatigue.
Caregivers supporting loved ones or navigating loss (including pet loss).
Individuals seeking greater balance, boundaries, and empowerment.
People managing health-related transitions or chronic conditions who want practical support and advocacy.
Curious seekers exploring holistic healing, nervous-system regulation, and personal transformation.
If you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or out of touch with your inner voice, coaching can help you reconnect, build practical tools, and move forward with more ease.
Coaching is not therapy and does not replace medical or psychiatric care. It is not appropriate for crisis situations, active suicidal ideation, unmanaged severe mental illness, or conditions requiring immediate clinical intervention.
If you need urgent help or clinical evaluation, please contact emergency services or your healthcare team. I will always prioritize safety and, when needed, pause coaching to help you connect with appropriate clinical supports.

Each session is client-centered and tailored to what you need in that moment. We begin with grounding—breath, gentle body awareness, or a short mindfulness practice—then move into a focused conversation about your intentions, challenges, emotions, and goals. Sessions weave practical tools with gentle body-based and reflective practices, so transformation is tangible and felt.
Sessions may include:
Reflective conversation, powerful questions, and deep listening
Mindfulness, guided imagery, or short meditations
Nervous-system regulation and emotional-regulation tools
Creative exploration: writing, drawing, metaphors, or journaling prompts
Gentle energy work (Reiki) or chakra-informed awareness when requested
Yes—sessions are confidential within legal and professional limits, with exceptions being imminent risk or other legally mandated reporting situations. I offer both! Limited in-person sessions are available, and virtual sessions are available within Alberta. All formats are held with the same care, presence, and intention.
I encourage you to bring anything that you feel you need to be comfortable. You could consider things like:water bottle, a notebook/pen, and a recent challenge or goal you want to focus on. Please keep in mind that I will send out a post-session summary within a few days.
Sessions are usually 60 minutes. For initial and closing sessions they can be up to 90 mins. Some clients come for a single session; others work with me over weeks or months. There’s no “right” timeline—just what feels supportive for your journey.
Yes. You can choose what fits best—whether that’s a one-time session for clarity or a multi-session package for deeper transformation. However, I do recommend that client’s choose a package/ programs that feels aligned with them, noting that real change and transformation does take time.
Sessions are typically held every 2-3 weeks when you enroll in one of our coaching packages, with the option to taper to monthly maintenance for standalone sessions—always personalized to suit your goals and capacity.
Some clients feel relief or clarity after one session; more often sustained shifts usually appear over several sessions with small, consistent practices.
There’s no one-size-fits-all timeline—lasting change depends on the complexity of what you’re shifting, your level of practice, and real-world support. That said, you can use these general markers as a guide:
Immediate relief (1 session): You’ll often walk away with some new insights, tools, and a sense of clarity that you can try right away.
Habit formation (3–6 weeks): When you practice a new strategy daily—whether it’s a brief grounding ritual, a journaling prompt, or an emotional-regulation tool—you start rewiring neural patterns and building consistency.
Solid integration (3 months): With weekly or biweekly coaching, ongoing reflection, and small experiments, most clients report that shifts feel stable and automatic by the three-month mark.
Deep transformation (6+ months): For multi-layered issues—like healing chronic burnout, grief, or long-standing relationship patterns—change deepens over half a year or more, weaving new strengths into your identity and everyday choices.
Readiness & clarity: The more aligned you are with your “why,” the faster you’ll move.
Frequency & follow-through: Daily micro-practices plus regular coaching accelerate habit building.
Support systems: Accountability partners, peer groups, or tiny check-ins keep momentum.
Complexity of change: Surface-level habits shift quicker than deep-rooted emotional patterns.
Not at all. Many clients come feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what they need. That’s okay. We’ll start where you are and gently explore what’s present. Clarity often emerges through the process.
Absolutely. Coaching can complement therapy, medical care, or other healing modalities. I’m happy to collaborate (with your consent) to ensure your support system feels cohesive and aligned.
Yes. As a Registered Nurse and Consultant, I can help you understand your options, prepare for appointments, ask the right questions, and advocate for your needs. You don’t have to do it alone.
Absolutely. Grief is grief. Whether it’s the loss of a beloved animal companion, a relationship, a role, or a version of yourself—you deserve space to feel, process, and heal. All forms of grief are welcome here.
You don’t have to embrace energy work or mindful techniques to benefit from coaching or gain value here. Every tool and practice is optional, consent-based and personalized to your comfort level. Together, we’ll build a coaching path that feels genuine, practical and aligned with what truly resonates with you and your values.
Yes. My practice is rooted in respect, compassion, and cultural humility. I welcome people of all races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, spiritual beliefs, and lived experiences.

Whether you come from a background of Western medicine, ancestral healing, or something in between, your story matters here. This is a space for you to be your whole self.
GuidED by Nurse B is a trauma-informed, culturally safe practice that celebrates diversity and honors the sacredness of each person’s path.
